Liberty Walk has become renown for their full body transformations of JDM and exotic cars so when they turned their attention to the ER34 Nissan Skyline GT-t, the stunning result should be of no surprise. When the car debuted at Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 however, it seemed the entire automotive world was left gobsmacked - and rightly so.

The car Kato-san wanted to emulate with this conversion was the Hasemi KDR30 Skyline that Masahiro Hasemi drove in the 1982 and 1983 championships and the red and black Tomica livery that has also become legendary.

As wild as this conversion is, the Skyline’s boxy fenders that abruptly end with a 90-degree angle somehow manage to look as if Nissan themselves had intended to build an ER34 racecar just like this. Those cavernous fenders are filled out by equally massive 18x11 Yokohama Advan GT wheels with additional hub extenders to push them out even wider. Then there's the way the massive diffuser sticks out from the bumper and how the wing looks like the multi-level type the KDR30 sported. It all works together perfectly to the point where your eyes are unsure of what decade this Skyline fits in but it's a feast for the eyes no matter how you look at it!

The similarities don't stop there though, a stroked 3.1L L28 engine that breathes through a side exit exhaust also gives the Liberty Walk ER34 Skyline a clear link to the past along with a nice vintage touch too.

Liberty Walk managed to stun the world yet again, and this 1:64 resin model is the perfect way to have a part of it in your collection. If a more modern GTR is what you're after, then check out the Zero Fighter R35!
