The Nissan R35 GTR is no slouch even in it's most basic form, but what would you get if Nissan went all out and built a no-holds barred version of it's iconic supercar? 

The answer lies in the GT-R50 which features extreme styling, including a two-tone finish and heavily reworked front and rear ends, and it made its debut in Europe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Italdesign developed, engineered and built the car, but the interior and exterior looks were created by Nissan’s design teams in Europe and America. Based on the latest Nissan GT-R NISMO, it commemorates the 50th anniversaries of the GT-R in 2019 and Italdesign in 2018. 

Powering each GT-R50 is a NISMO-tuned 720 PS hand-built 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with GT3-spec turbochargers and intercoolers, and a wealth of other near racing-spec parts. Nissan says the the crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods and bearings, piston oil jets and camshaft profiles have all been uprated, while the engine also benefits from optimized ignition timing along with new intake and exhaust systems. Nissan has mated the upgraded engine mated to a beefier dual-clutch six-speed ‘box, with redesigned differentials and driveshafts. As you’d expect, the inside of the car is a heady cocktail of Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber – and there are flashes of the same gold finish you’ll find on the exterior of the car.

But all this goodness comes at a cost and even if you have a spare USD $1.1 million to splurge, you'd be lucky to get one of the 50 models produced.
